Rebbetzin Sara Yocheved Rigler spent 15 years living in an ashram. She meditated three times a day, taught Vedanta & Hindu philosophy, and served as personal secretary to the guru. She went east searching for God.
Then one conversation with an Orthodox rabbi turned her whole world upside down. 8 months later, she was studying Torah in Jerusalem.
Today she is one of the most widely read Jewish authors alive and a world class Torah teacher. We spoke about those 15 years in the ashram, a life altering (and reincarnation) experience around her fear of having children, and what she found in Judaism that 15 years of Eastern spirituality never gave her.
